Partnering with Hawkins Construction, NZ Specialised Coatings were engaged in the seismic strengthening project for the Plaza Carpark in Palmerston North.

NZSC utilised Sika’s Dynamic Carpark Deck System to ensure the building’s long term protection & structural integrity.

As part of the works, NZSC completed grinding and surface preparation, crack remediation and structural repairs, and the application of Sika’s Dynamic Carpark Deck System across more than 4,500m².
This multi-layered system comprising of primer, waterproofing membrane, reinforcement layers, and UV-stable topcoats was selected to provide long-term protection, durability, and structural integrity for the facility.

The project also included line marking, and the installation of bump stops and trolley stands, ensuring a high-quality, functional, and resilient finish throughout the carpark.
