NZ Specialised Coatings rejuvenated an old existing concrete floor. Providing a state of the art automotive workshop floor.

The brief from the client was to provide a surface that could handle the demands of a busy modern automotive workshop. This required ease of maintenance on the floor which could withstand high abrasion and chemical resistance. Health and Safety slip resistance was also a priority.

New Zealand Specialised Coatings provided this finish by firstly making good of the old concrete substrate . Crack repair and infill to divots and chips were required using Sikafloor 91.

Moisture within the floor substrate was assessed and found to be above the specified limits. Consequently Sikafloor 161 was used as a moisture barrier, this primer which eliminated any time delays and the project continued to schedule.

Sikafloor 264 was the base coat used, this was a 2mm self smoothening system. The final topcoat was then applied which was Sikafloor 315 a clear abrasion resistant polyurethane seal coat with a textured non-slip surface.
